Nestled on 3 1/2 acres in the heart of the Garth Road shopping and service area, our community features twin three-story apartment buildings, connected by covered walkways to our beautifully equipped Community Center. The buildings, affectionately christened "The Woodlands" and "The Meadows," feature full-service elevators, with laundry care facilities on each floor.

Access to all apartments is through a central corridor, providing a sense of security and privacy to our residents. The corridors are wide, bright and well-lighted, with a handrail for those who may wish a little support. Our one- and two-bedroom units are distributed throughout both buildings.

There is plentiful parking around the residence buildings. Birdsong Place Villas is a gated community, with access only by means of "clicker" devices available to all residents who register automobiles.

A beautifully landscaped courtyard, complete with a gazebo for residents who enjoy a breath of fresh air - in the shade. Sidewalks throughout the property make walking an easy and pleasant exercise. Ample parking is available for residents and for guests inside the security access gates to the community. All common areas are fully accessible for those with mobility or sensory impairments

An on-site computer learning center will offer basic computer instruction. Periodic courses of interest will be developed based on residents' desire, and van transportation will be available to other local educational opportunities,   Periodically, a licensed health care professional will be on site to provide health screening for such things as pulse rate and blood pressure checks. Other screenings may be available, depending on need. Referrals for further treatment or consultation can be made, too.
     

 

Courses dealing with health issues and nutrition that are especially designed for seniors will be offered by health care professionals and staff. These courses will be available on site, both to residents and other members of the Baytown community   Our own van will be available to transport residents to medical appointments, for shopping excursions and for other outings, according to a regular schedule. Off-site outings to local attractions and restaurants will also be scheduled.
     

 

Residents will have access to after-hours non-emergency urgent care facilities (in the evenings and on weekends) at the Jacinto Medical Group Urgent Care. Emergency service is always available at the emergency room of San Jacinto Methodist Hospital.   Residents who need legal assistance, particularly with issues that affect seniors, will be referred to Lone Star Legal Foundation and/or Houston Volunteer Lawyers to assure that they receive all the help they need to deal with any legal issues that may arise.
     

 

Experts who can provide important financial planning services and advice to residents will be available in the community on a scheduled basis, to help our residents plan how to use their resources and how to plan for their future.   Sterling Municipal Library will provide a regular library service to residents. The Bookmobile will visit our Community Center once or twice a month for the convenience of residents. Library staff will also provide special library-related programs and activities for us.
     

 

A Notary Public for the State of Texas is available in the Property Manager's office during regular office hours. Notary services for residents and applicants at Birdsong Place Villas is without charge. A nominal charge will apply to others.   Wellness is a major concern for seniors, and our Health and Fitness Center, equipped with just the right equipment for our residents, will be a major benefit to those who like to exercise in a more relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, right in our Community Center.
     

Residents at Birdsong Place Villas will have many opportunities for on-site activities and events. These will include regular pot-luck dinners, holiday celebrations, birthday celebrations each moth, a library and puzzle room, games of all types, regular movie afternoons or evenings, and much more! Regular outings will provide residents with a chance to visit local attractions as a group.
