We were joined at our celebration of America's 232nd birthday by the president of our company, Tom Forrester Lord, and his wife Kathy Lord. Hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans and chips and watermelon were complemented by appetizers provided by residents. Below are some scenes of our celebration!

There's plenty of good for all, as the party gets underway in earnest. Elvira, Carolyn and Helen get to know one another at our holiday gathering. Roger and Linda are clearly enjoying the party as one can tell from the big smiles.

As we approach the end of our first two months together, residents gathered in our beautiful gazebo for a group photo of our "Founding Residents". Afterwards, residents shared a light buffet supper in the Bob Lanier Community Center.

As residents arrive, they greet one another as old friends, after two months together. After the group photo, some residents remained for small group shots. Manager Gabrielle C Faust and resident Helen Barton share a moment together.

Our monthly birthday party in August 2008 honored all residents who had a birthday during the months of June, July or August. We celebrated with birthday cake and ice cream, and a wonderful time of fellowship

At Birdsong Place Villas, we love to get together and celebrate our nation's holidays! This year residents gathered in the Great Room of the Bob Lanier Community Center for a good, old-fashioned ice cream social to celebrate Labor Day.
As the hour approaches, residents gather in the Great Room for the ice cream social. Several residents chat with manager Gabrielle Crowe and owner Tom Lord. Waiting for the goodies to come out is the hardest part of all, isn't it!
New resident Odessa Turner helps Gabrielle prepare the pastries for the party. Enjoying ice cream, brownies, gingerbread - it's all part of the fun of living here! And we enjoying sharing experiences and stories with one another, too.
All the ghosts and ghouls at Birdsong Place Villas got together on October 31 for a good old fashioned Monster Bash. Here are a few of the remnants of the celebration!

Hosts for the evening, the Saucy Sexy Devil and her consort, Count Horrific. Our devilish hostess with her faithful servant Igor (in disguise as Fu Man Chu). The little devil greets the big boss, as Mr. Tom Lord joins the festivities.
The table is set with Eye of Newt, Bat's Blood Punch and other delicacies to eat. Igor greets the orange witch, one of the first ghouls (girls) to arrive on the scene. An array of strange residents digs into the buffet of devil's tail sandwiches.
A relaxing moment before the monster parade begins in earnest! The rich bitch witch struts her stuff for the camera in this candid shot of the party. Our host confronts someone as scary as he is - what IS that disguise, anyway?
All our residents enjoyed the chance to dress up and join the fun... ...including the cave girl, whose out looking for the buffet table, we think. Just a moment of sanity as two witches and the unknown-disguise guy meet.
Resident keep company with Millicent, the sadly departed loved skull of our host. And now it's time for all the ghosts and ghouls to get to their feet . . . . . . and dance together, doing the Mash, the Monster Mash!
The festive birthday cake for November awaits our celebrants! Birthday ladies for November are Lois Headley, Polly Contreras, Carolyn Moran Residents begin to gather near the cake as the "Happy Birthday" time nears.
Gabrielle serves the cake and ice cream to the residents at the party. Residents find their places at the table to enjoy the wonderful cake and ice cream. There was a large turnout for the birthday party this month and everyone enjoyed it!
One of the festive dinner tables (there were three) stand ready and inviting. Gabrielle and William help residents with mobility issues fix their plates. William is serving iced tea and desserts to several residents who need assistance.
Residents join together all around the dining room to enjoy their Thanksgiving meal together: turkey, ham, dressing and all the fixin's!
